Are there any bankruptcy forums? - Debt Advice Foundation
Q

Are there any bankruptcy forums?

A

Bankruptcy forums can be a great source of support and technical advice once you enter Bankruptcy.

They can be particularly useful sources of advice on how to keep costs down and which creditors are more sympathetic to undischarged and discharged Bankrupts when setting up a new bank account. Money Saving Expert’s Bankruptcy forum is a good place to start as it has moderators that makes sure the advice given remains impartial.

However, Bankruptcy does have significant legal and professional implications and should only be entered into after speaking with a specialist advisor that has fully investigated your financial affairs and explained any possible alternatives to you first.

You can read more about Bankruptcy and whether it is suitable for your situation in our Bankruptcy section.

Debt Advice Foundation is a registered UK charity offering free, confidential support and advice on any aspect of debt, including Bankruptcy. If you need to talk to someone about Bankruptcy or would like to discuss the alternatives, please call to speak to an adviser.
