Where can I find bankruptcy help?
There are lots of places you can go to get Bankruptcy help. Which is right for you depends on what type of bankruptcy assistance you need.
- If you wish to petition for your own Bankruptcy and you are happy that you’ve considered all of the alternatives (such as an IVA, Debt Management and Debt Relief Order) then the Insolvency Service website allows you to manage the process yourself online. The Insolvency Service is responsible for regulating the insolvency profession and is part of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

- If you need Bankruptcy help because you’re unsure whether Bankruptcy is right for you, Debt Advice Foundation’s helpline Advisors are available for you to talk to in confidence.
