What is a bankruptcy petition?
A Bankruptcy petition is a declaration of your desire to be made Bankrupt and is one of two forms (the other being a Statement of Affairs) that you need to present to your local county court. It sets out your name, address and place of work along with a declaration you are unable to repay your debts and details of any previous Insolvency solutions entered into.
You can download and print the Bankruptcy petition from here or complete it at a local county court that deals with Bankruptcy.
You can read more about Bankruptcy and whether it is suitable for your situation in our Bankruptcy section.
