If you require credit advice because you are experiencing financial difficulties and you would like to discuss your options, you can call Debt Advice Foundation’s free, confidential helpline on 0800 043 40 50. The charity’s debt advice helpline opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm.

If you’re considering taking out a loan for any reason other than for consolidating existing debts and would like credit advice then the Financial Services Authority’s Money Made Clear website can help you decide which factors are important when comparing credit products.
