Loans for people with bad credit
Whilst this is understandably the first thing most of us think about when we find ourselves in financial difficulty, in realty, getting another loan simply means that you’ll be paying even more back over a longer period of time.
Fortunately, there are a number of options available to people with poor credit histories that will allow them to become debt free much sooner than if they took out another loan. In many cases, their creditors will agree to freeze interest and in more challenging circumstances, they may even agree to write off some of their debt.
If you need to talk to someone in confidence about your options, there’s no need to wait or book an appointment, our free debt advice helpline is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm.
Debt Advice Foundation is a registered debt charity (1148498) and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (no. 692492).
The charity holds the Advice Service Alliance’s Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and is listed by Money Advice Service as an accredited, free provider of debt advice on its online debt advice locator page (the Money Advice Service is an independent service set up by government to help people manage their money).
If you’re unable to call our free debt helpline number 0800 043 40 50 right now, you can fill in the form below and one of our advisors will call you back at a time of your choosing.
