Debt Advice Foundation aims to get people to “Talk Money”
Launching Monday 13 November, FinCap Week will celebrate, showcase and amplify the work underway to improve financial capability in the UK and ultimately, to improve financial well-being.
Debt Advice Foundation aims to improve financial capability in children through its financial education programme DebtAware. DebtAware has worked with hundreds of primary schools, with the hope that the programme will eventually be taught in every primary school in the UK.
Levels of financial capability across the UK remain stubbornly low, with people often unwilling to discuss money problems. FinCap Week provides an important opportunity to discuss life events and how collectively organisations can support people at risk from uncontrolled levels of debt.
The campaign feature prominently on social media, using the hashtag #TalkMoney.
