How do I go about filing for bankruptcy?
If you’re considering filing for Bankruptcy, you will need to complete a Bankruptcy Petition form and a Statement of Affairs (both of which can be done either online or at your nearest county court that deals with Bankruptcies). You will also need to pay one or more of the following fees to the court (depending on your circumstances):
- A court fee, currently £150.
- Bankruptcy administration fee of £450.
- £12 to swear the affidavit (part of the Statement of Affairs). This fee is only payable in the High Court.
